Torry

This is Torry Shane Gilleon!!! He is so excited to be a Gilleon. I went to each lunch with him on Wednesday at school and he had told everybody. His teacher was so happy. We are undecided about a party. We might end up the Skating Rink. Torry loves his skates and he mentioned that. We'll see. I kind of figured to stay in Morganton for all the other people who may come. We are gonna have a big invitation list. At Chuckee Cheese you can't visit very well. At Skating Rink you can mingle a little better. We can have our own music, and have a 2 hour slot.

I have many more pictures of Torry I'll post more later.

I have to get busy cleaning this house while the kids are outside. Shygirl has been doing great. I am pleased. I was worried after that morning, but she's good.

Love ya'll,

Torry Shane Gilleon

I am happy to report to you all that we have a son now. Our Little Man is Torry Shane Gilleon. YEY! I will have to post a picture later because Shygirl is in the "computer" room getting ready for bed.

Any advice on teenagers? She had a falling out this morning. Not for sure why yet, and may never know. Literally, a falling. Whoo.... we definitely didn't know what to do. Shane was gonna be late for work, and I was not giving in to her little shinanigan. Drama in the Gilleon house. Everything is fine and dandy now.

Well, I'll post tomorrow with pictures of Torry. He is a cute little boy if I must say myself.

Love ya'll

Strep Throat again!!

Little Man was sick last night. I called home on the way from class and Shane said that Little Man fell asleep on the way home from town. While he was dealing with him and putting him to bed, Shygirl had a crying jig. First one!! Shane talked to her for a long time about things and asked her if she wanted him to pray. She said "Yes" real excitedly. She was worried once she was back with her family that she couldn't go to church. Shane asked her if she liked going to our church and she said "Yes, very much". It was so good to hear that.

FD brought a few skirts for Shygirl but they were all too big. I appreciate them though. I may take a couple up. We'll see how me and the sewing machine get along. She really likes living here. She misses her family, but I think she likes the solitude a little bit. Each time I've spoken on the phone with her family it sounds like a zoo there.

She is so polite and just very sweet natured. The first few days Little Man was all up in her face, but he has calmed down. He does like to do everything she does. If she wants Dr. Pepper, he does too. If she has a certain item, he wants it too. It is just so amazing. I don't think I was quite that bad with my brother. Of course he was only 2 years older than I was.

Little Man's last paperwork for his adoption was sent back yesterday. We had to sign our John Henry's at least 30 times. But, now it goes to the Clerk of Ct. and should be final by next week. He will then be a Gilleon. He chose to change to his middle name to Shane. It was Joe. He kind of wanted to change his first name, but we talked and everyone knows him as his name, so we are gonna keep it that way.

Tiresome Tuesday

I am so tired. I guess everything hit me last night and I just needed to cry. Whoo, and was it a crying jig. Poor Shane!!! He had to hear it. I feel so much better. I guess I had to get a load off. It is a tad overwhelming but I am glad our Shygirl is doing so good. She has fit right in. They want to put her on medicine for depression, but I personally don't feel she needs it. She is a giddy 12 year old just like all girls that age are. She gets quiet, but what 12 year old isn't moody. I remember. Whooooo.....

She is sitting here making a card for the card club for church. She is a very sweet girl and likes to please. She got an award card today for getting great grades and wanted me to have it. I put it on the fridge. She was happy. I've bought her a few things and she was tickled. She will be here on for her 13th birthday. I am excited to go shopping. She has expressed several different things she likes when we've been shopping.

I tried to get ahold of DSS three different times with three different people and no answer. Aggravated me to no end. What if I had a child at the hospital in serious conditions. GRRRR!!!
"Why me", I said.

We are looking for a cheap, nice little dresser for the spare bedroom. What little clothes Shygirl brought are folded waiting for a dresser. We went looking yesterday and today. No findings!

Well, I am gonna go and do some laundry. Fun, fun. Laundry for 4 is a whole lot different.

Love,
Nikki

Shygirl

Hello!

Long time no see!!! I have had no me time. Maybe someday. As most of you know who may read, we now have a new foster child for a couple of months, so we were told. She, Shygirl, is 12 almost 13. She is a very sweet girl. She didn't come with much, so we have been shopping. Bless her heart!!! She was excited. She had never been to Hickory. Little man does a lot of showing off these days for Shygirl and she is not real amused. She tolerates him. She will play with him, but only short periods of time. As most little "brothers", they get on your nerves.

Little man had a medicine reduction and it is not going so well. He has had a rough week at school. His teacher has been amazed because she has not seen him like this. So tomorrow his med will be uped. I don't feel defeated. I think he might be too young to learn to focus on his own yet without the help of a little pill. Oh well!! He has definitely got on all of our nerves the last few days. This showing out mess is gonna stop.

Hopefully by Valentine's Day Little Man will be a Gilleon. He is so excited. He is going to change his middle name to Shane like his daddy. We are gonna have a big party somewhere. We haven't decided as to where yet. It will be then I can post real pictures of his cute little face.

As for Shygirl, she is adjusting as well as can be expected. She tries to please and she is very clean. We need to get her a dresser. Hopefully by Tuesday we will get one. She had a little hard time with wanting to go to church, but Shane and I talked with her and she was much better. In fact, I think she liked all the attention she got from all the saints. Thank you all so much. Little KDV colored her a picture this morning and said "Welcome". She was tickled.

Well, it is late. We went over to our friends and finished the ballgame. Us ladies didn't care two hoots about it, but the guys had fun. AB made some awesome enchiladas. Little Man must have liked them. He ate 3 of them.

I will try better at posting. I have school now on Thursday eve, so more on me. Fun fun!!!
