Warrensille Trip!

I enjoy going to the Warrensville congregation, but not smelling like vomit. Joy, joy!! The only warning was "Daddy, I'm hot." Daddy opened ET's window to give him some fresh air, and I was telling him to take off his jacket. He layed his head back, and I turned back to face the front. Next thing I know, Torry says "Uh mom, ET just puked." We were miles from the church. Wow. Thank the Lord it was ok to open windows. It was not fun.

Next time I will pack extra clothes for both the boys. After the incident, ET was fine. Raring to go!! He took a nap this afternoon and was wide open in church. He and Torry were fighting over the cars, so I put them up, and split them up. Well, instantly "MOMMY". So, I took him out thinking he would hush. No, louder........... we sat back there till he stopped, and proceeded back out to the sanctuary. "MOMMY" back out we went. I let him stop crying and we went back into the service. Why Lord, it was such a good service. I get so distracted by my children.

My new kitchen floor

Since we've moved into this house, there has been a dip in the tiles over where the two cupboards meet. We put it off because we knew it was going to be an expensive job. Well, this last weekend, or Friday we got it fixed, new linoleum and a new dishwasher. The previous dishwasher was the problem for the flooring. It was leaking and we never knew it. Well, we now have a new dishwasher too. I am anxious to try it out. I haven't yet because the latch won't work. A repairman is coming tomorrow morning to fix it. Yeah!!

We had a really good service tonight at church. A family from Pennsylvania came to be with us. The gentlemen gave a testimony about his little boy that got his legs caught in an auger. It was such a touching story. I thought I had heard the story line before but didn't think anything of it. Well, come to find out I know the lady in a round of about way. She is from Indiana originally. Small world!

Indiana

Indiana was quite interesting to say the least this year. We arrived there the Saturday before Christmas and that evening and into the next day we did not have power because of all the ice. It was very cold. Dad got the generator that he just bought a week prior and put it to use. We did stay farely warm with the generator and heat stove out in the guest room.

The boys definitely loved the snow. We went to Meijers(love that store) and bought a new sled. They didn't have much snow, but ice to play in. The sled slid good over the ice. With no power, we patronized several restaurants. I love the ole famouse King Gyros. Yum!!!!

My boys were pretty good considering they had to be cooped up in the house for so long with all my mom's pretties. Way to much pretties for two little boys that are full of energy. One time the light sabers went a swinging in the living room. Ma about had a heart attack. Dad played alot with the boys when he could. In between keeping us warm, and trying to keep the church pipes from freezing, he was real busy. It was way below zero for several days.

My parents van was acting up too. Some rattling noise that at times was unbearable. We had a trip planned and had to come back cause of the van.

I hope to get some pix on here if I can get my hubby to upload the camera. I could probably learn, but I'm afraid of messing it up.

Nate and Tracy got there the Friday before we had to leave on Saturday. Torry and ET loved playing with their cousins. We had to have an extra table this year for the children. My mom's table only fits 10 comfortably. We now have 12 all together.

I was glad to see my grandparents again. My grandpa is failing fast. He went up to bed early for the first time ever. He at one point did not know that he was in his own house. I cried. Mom said he couldn't find the bathroom. He opened several doors in the hallway before mom wondered what he was doing. She had to tell him which door. So sad. That's his own house that he and his sons designed. I know he's getting older, but I hated to see that. My grandma squeezed my neck ever so hard. I love her bunches. I miss them terrible. I used to go once a month and visit them.

Well, I suppose. Laundry is calling. Better get done before I have to take Torry to ball practice. The story of our lives. Run, run, run!!!!

Nuttin' Much

I am writing as a lack of nothing else to do at this moment. My hubby is watching Star Wars Clone War or something like that. Not of interest to this gal. I am cold. My husband doesn't believe in turning the heat up. I have to dress in layers. Brrrr.......

Well, we are about to head out for eve service. Catch up later.

Diaper Cake

Just real quick before I head off into sleepmode. I wanted to let you all see a little bit of Nik's creativity. I was pretty proud of myself. My friend had a diaper cake at her baby shower and I thought I would give it a shot. It turned out pretty cute, if I must say so myself. I made it for my BFF who is having a little boy hopefully before the end of the year. Little Malachi is going to be his name. Anway, before I go off rambling..

.

I can only type for not having a voice. We had choir practice for our choir night this Friday. Everyone welcome. We had to practice some high songs now. WHoooo.... I think I'll make it.

Gotta go. It's past my bed time.

It's a first!

I have never been to Black Friday before. I've always wanted to see for myself, but never have. Shane and I have talked about it in the last few years, but never seem to get out of the comfy bed to go.

So, me and my BFF Tiff are gonna go this year. Don't know if we can fight the crowd to the get the deals or not but we are sure gonna try.

We had a good Thanksgiving Day, but that all day cooking was devoured in less than an hour and put away in less than 2. All that hard work. I must say, my mashed taters that the family loves were very good. I'm not bragging or anything, but my ma's taters are the best. You would think after that big meal that a body wouldn't get hungry forever. My stomach is a growling at 4:25 am and I can say I'm a tad hungry.

Well, I'm a gonna get off here and kiss the hubby bye and be off to shop till we drop.

Thanksgiving Day!!

It comes so quick every year. I have been up since 9 cooking this morning. I have had fun cooking, but I am glad I don't have to do this everyday.
I have made:

  • broccoli casserole
  • scalloped corn
  • raspberry pie
  • peeled potatoes for mashed taters
  • put a turkey and ham in the oven
Chris brought mac-n-cheese over and pumpkin pies.

I have been a busy beaver. Shane took Torry to a hunting site. I took the opportunity to make our beds and clean up the boys room while ET was preoccupied with a ATV game.

Well, I guess I'll get off here and get myself ready before all these items have to go in the oven and get the table ready for the family in law to come over. I so wish my parents could be here. They are at home with none of their children. THey'll see my brother and sis in law and kids this weekend. My little brother had other plans. I'm glad I got to see them last weekend. We didn't get to visit much cause of revival, but all is good.

Talk at ya later.
