Life in the fast lane

Life has been very busy. Sorry I haven't blogged in a while. We went to Kentucky over the weekend to help the Clark's drive. We had fun. Got to see some friends and just didn't want to leave. I could believe how well Little Man did. Of course I took all kinds of things for him to do on the 6 hour trip. He was awesome.

Little Man has won the heart of Shane's nanny. He calls her and MawMaw about every day. Nanny has been spoiling him rotten. He's gotten new glow in the dark underroos, pjs and slippers all to match. This was all in a week's time. Then, the week before was remote control car. I'm telling ya, he is eating all this attention up.

I need to get on the ball with the Christmas. We went shopping the day after Thanksgiving. It was a crazy mess at Walmart and Kmart. Wow and this was after the sale rush. I was going to get up real early and go. I slept in instead. Shane and I have to take another day and do little man's and others. Time is flying. I need to get material to make little man some curtains. Procrastination is the word here.

I have one last test and I am done with yet another semester. Yeeeeehhh. I have already signed up for the next semester. I just need to get my book.

I can't wait to go to IN for Christmas. I can't wait to see all my family again. I didn't get to see any of my family for Thanksgiving. Mom and Dad got new carpet and linoleum right before the holiday and just couldn't make it down. We have met in KY the last several years but it just didn't work out this year. I am anxious for all my extended family to meet Little Man.

Once again I have no pictures to post. I am on the lap top and all the pix are on the desktop. One of these days.

Well, I shall go and finish my Wendy's frosty. My throat was really hurting so I thought that would help. Plus they are scrumptious. Especially the vanilla.

For now, goodbye

Yard Saleing!

Do you drop the e and add ing. I don't know. Saling doesn't look right. Anyway, we didn't get too many deals today. I bought a little snail for the preschool. Little man got a football, some cars, several books, and some lady gave him several free things. Patrick from Spongebob!! I don't like Spongebob, those might end up at the Salvation Station. I went to the Salvation Army the other day and got Little man some slick britches to wear for his ballgames. They are a size to big, but I paid $5 for them pants. That's a rip off at the Salvation Army. They get that mess for free. I guess they have to pay their help and rent, huh?!!

I guess I need to get to cleaning on my house. We have been so busy that it seems nice just to be lazy a little bit. I feel guilty though.

We had Little Man's Parent Teacher conference yesterday. I saw his reports from last year compared to this year and I started getting teary-eyed and full fledged crying. Then the teacher began to cry. It felt so good to hear that the child was doing zip last year has improved so much. Even though he can't read everything, we are working on it. Even the report that she made was wrong. He knows more since she did the testing. I wanted to pat myself on the back. I know it's not all in what Shane and I have done. It is God through us because the Lord knows how frustrated I get with his homework. He only missed one on his spelling test Friday and that was because he added a d at the end. He spelled the work right but put it in past tense. One word he had to put in past tense then add ing to it for another word. I can see where he would get confused. She started out at the beginning of the year with 5 or 6 words and she was leary to give him the full amount. He has done awesome. I can't wait for my entire family to meet him. I wish it was Christmas time already. Yes and No. Time flies already.

Well, I shall get off and get busy. My hubby finally made his way outside to get the leaves up. Last year we had just moved in at this time and the leaves were herendous at Thanksgiving time. My dad and brother helped take pile after pile to the drop off of our property. S

Shane talked about going by the Lake today to just see how the water level was. Big Bill called and wanted to go to eat with him and his new girl. Saw her at the Big Fat Friday game. Little man racked up. Bro. Randy caught a football, and also ended up catching a frisbee, so did his daddy. Then I caught a football helmet necklace. I guess we'll hang it up with his sport room that I have yet to finish. One day I will get curtains done. I need to go buy material I guess. I can't find sheets that I can make a valance with.
