A million things to do

I have a millions things to do but I'm sitting here. Hmm... what's wrong with this picture. It's called peace and quiet. The boys are off to b-ball practice. I wish we could have went to the Morganton Parade but it was a little cold. More than a little I guess, it's very cold. I guess hubby and I are going to go shopping on Friday. I am excited. I get to spend a whole day with him by myself. Do I sound stingy?

Well, not much news on this end. We were gonna have a chill out night last eve, so we ordered pizza, were gonna watch a movie and relax. Well, we ordered the pizza and didn't get it till 2 or 21/2 hours later. That was so aggravating. Shane got a Christmas movie and we did chill, but we was all so hungry and ill about pizza that it wasn't so relaxing. My house suffered, but I'm catching up tonight. I used to never leave clothes in the dryer out the hang up clothes out laying over a chair till the next day. That is a big no no. Well, the last couple of months I have been so lazy. The clothes are clean, but not always put away the same day. I need to jerk up on my chain.

So long for another night. I need to get to hemming up little man's bball pants, fixing yet another pair of Shane's pants and I am gonna try and get started on a couple Christmas projects.
It may be a late nighter. I'll pay for it in the morning.

Slammed Saturday

I don't think we could have fit one more thing in to today if we tried. We went to the Valdese Parade this morning from 9:30-11:30ish. Then we came home to check on a young man from church who was raking leaves. We forgot to leave the door unlocked for him to get in house if he needed to. Then, we were off to little man's first basketball game. They did good for their first game. They won 12-4. The team was excited!!! Came home chilled out for a split second, then our pastor came over to pick up the leaf raker. Chilled for another split second and then Shane got ready for work. He had to work from 5-12 tonight as acting Sergeant. I have been on the go. Was gonna do some sewing but I need some thread. Thought I had some the right color. Well, here I am and were off to an ELM meeting in a few minutes. Shoooo.... too busy for me!!!!

Life in the fast lane

Life has been very busy. Sorry I haven't blogged in a while. We went to Kentucky over the weekend to help the Clark's drive. We had fun. Got to see some friends and just didn't want to leave. I could believe how well Little Man did. Of course I took all kinds of things for him to do on the 6 hour trip. He was awesome.

Little Man has won the heart of Shane's nanny. He calls her and MawMaw about every day. Nanny has been spoiling him rotten. He's gotten new glow in the dark underroos, pjs and slippers all to match. This was all in a week's time. Then, the week before was remote control car. I'm telling ya, he is eating all this attention up.

I need to get on the ball with the Christmas. We went shopping the day after Thanksgiving. It was a crazy mess at Walmart and Kmart. Wow and this was after the sale rush. I was going to get up real early and go. I slept in instead. Shane and I have to take another day and do little man's and others. Time is flying. I need to get material to make little man some curtains. Procrastination is the word here.

I have one last test and I am done with yet another semester. Yeeeeehhh. I have already signed up for the next semester. I just need to get my book.

I can't wait to go to IN for Christmas. I can't wait to see all my family again. I didn't get to see any of my family for Thanksgiving. Mom and Dad got new carpet and linoleum right before the holiday and just couldn't make it down. We have met in KY the last several years but it just didn't work out this year. I am anxious for all my extended family to meet Little Man.

Once again I have no pictures to post. I am on the lap top and all the pix are on the desktop. One of these days.

Well, I shall go and finish my Wendy's frosty. My throat was really hurting so I thought that would help. Plus they are scrumptious. Especially the vanilla.

For now, goodbye

Yard Saleing!

Do you drop the e and add ing. I don't know. Saling doesn't look right. Anyway, we didn't get too many deals today. I bought a little snail for the preschool. Little man got a football, some cars, several books, and some lady gave him several free things. Patrick from Spongebob!! I don't like Spongebob, those might end up at the Salvation Station. I went to the Salvation Army the other day and got Little man some slick britches to wear for his ballgames. They are a size to big, but I paid $5 for them pants. That's a rip off at the Salvation Army. They get that mess for free. I guess they have to pay their help and rent, huh?!!

I guess I need to get to cleaning on my house. We have been so busy that it seems nice just to be lazy a little bit. I feel guilty though.

We had Little Man's Parent Teacher conference yesterday. I saw his reports from last year compared to this year and I started getting teary-eyed and full fledged crying. Then the teacher began to cry. It felt so good to hear that the child was doing zip last year has improved so much. Even though he can't read everything, we are working on it. Even the report that she made was wrong. He knows more since she did the testing. I wanted to pat myself on the back. I know it's not all in what Shane and I have done. It is God through us because the Lord knows how frustrated I get with his homework. He only missed one on his spelling test Friday and that was because he added a d at the end. He spelled the work right but put it in past tense. One word he had to put in past tense then add ing to it for another word. I can see where he would get confused. She started out at the beginning of the year with 5 or 6 words and she was leary to give him the full amount. He has done awesome. I can't wait for my entire family to meet him. I wish it was Christmas time already. Yes and No. Time flies already.

Well, I shall get off and get busy. My hubby finally made his way outside to get the leaves up. Last year we had just moved in at this time and the leaves were herendous at Thanksgiving time. My dad and brother helped take pile after pile to the drop off of our property. S

Shane talked about going by the Lake today to just see how the water level was. Big Bill called and wanted to go to eat with him and his new girl. Saw her at the Big Fat Friday game. Little man racked up. Bro. Randy caught a football, and also ended up catching a frisbee, so did his daddy. Then I caught a football helmet necklace. I guess we'll hang it up with his sport room that I have yet to finish. One day I will get curtains done. I need to go buy material I guess. I can't find sheets that I can make a valance with.

Boohooo!!!

My hubby is leaving tomorrow to go hunting till Thursday. I don't like it, but what do ya say. I don't like guns, I don't like most of the deer meat. I have tried the jerky and liked it, and I have tried it in hamburger and have liked it ok. We went and bought a little freezer in case he gets deer so he can put the deer meat in it. The only good thing is I got money for me to spend. I saw these cool Nike shoes at the Shoe Show the other day while buying Little man a new pair. I finally broke down and got another pair for school. The ones he was wearing we had got new shoestrings for and they broke. I did end up buying new shoelaces, so he can wear them for play. He better ever never neaver niver never wear his new shoes out to play on the trampoline just for that doggy to take off and hide. I have spent $80 in shoes in just 2 months.

Well, my hubby is making pancakes and is about ready, so I better go. Little man is being silly. I forget he can read better now. He said what's the $80 for.

Talk at ya'll later.

GRRR....

Shane and I both took off work today to go to court for little man. We sat in that court room for 3 hours to hear that it was going to get continued. The reason for continuation was lame. I was so aggravated. "BioDad" did not show. When called, the man who answered said he was sick in the bed. Now come on. Where have you been for your child for 8 years. If you want to be the dad then you need to put forth the effort. I'm glad he didn't show, but now it is prolonged. BioM didn't show either but her lawyer took Shane aside and said we have nothing to worry about, it's just that they have to exhaust all their measures now before we get in the adoption process. GRRRR....... then I was hoping to spend the rest of the afternoon with my wonderful husband. He informed me that he had to go back to work, but would call his boss to see if he could just take the eve. off. His boss said he needed him so bad. Shane had nothing to do at work so was pretty aggravated with his boss. He just called a few minutes ago. All he has done is his school work for college. Doesn't that beat all I've ever seen.

I picked Little man up from school and we looked at the book fair. We got five different books. I could have bought and bought. I like to read and he is beginning to like to read and he loves being read to.

It was so nice not to have to rush to do his homework, read and get ready for bed. We leisurely came home, chitchatted and slowly started our evening.

Woohoo- Shane just called and said he was coming home early. Yeah!!!!

Well, I better get off here and get to working on my brochure for my college class. Only a couple more weeks of class. Signups for next semester are in just a couple of weeks too. Man, time flies!!!

Love,
Nikki

Talkless Tuesday

Ok, not much going on here. Shane was cooking when I got home. Didn't have to cook, didn't have to do homework. Did do a load of laundry and did iron Little man some clothes for his pix tomorrow. Will have to plaster his hair in the morning. His hair don't like to stay put.

I ended up going on the field trip with the 2 and 3 yr. olds to the Apple Orchard. They did extremely well for that group. I was much impressed. We had a staff quit. gave a one day notice. Come back today to get her 2 school agers and asked the boss for her job back. That is weird. I guess she thought the grass was greener on the other side of the fence. Guess she didn't get her 50 smoke breaks that she got at our job. Am I sounding sarcastic. Not Nikki!! I love her to death, but quite aggravated at the whole situation. I mean, leave your coworkers high and dry and then have the nerve to ask for her job back. Wow!!

Well, I shall go to bed now. I am so excited about Thanksgiving coming. WE are meeting my parents in KY again. Not the very traditional Thanksgiving, but I sure am excited to see them.

Have a wonderful evening.

By the way, we got some paperwork about adoption in the mail today to sign before court. HMM... wow. My mom took little man's pix to my dad's annual family hayride and let everyone see him. Awww... she did her grandmaly duties. How sweet!!

Monday Madness

The title will speak for itself today. We kept Big Bill's daughter for the night cause he had a school conference somewhere. Shane had to get up to take her to school. I got Little Man up and ready cause Shane had terrible kidney stone achage, if that's a word. Anyway, one I got to school, Little Man's teacher called and said he had no medicine. Ugghhh. Knowing Shane did not feel good, I knew I would have to run all the way back home on my lunch and get his med. Bless Shane's heart, he ran the med to me. He ended up going to work, but ended up having to go the doc to verify if he had kidney stones or not. So, he come home early tonight. It was so nice. I worked with Little man on homework and realized that he didn't have his spelling words. So, I get on the horn and call his teacher. I felt like a fool, cause I found the words at the bottom of his book bag. GRRRR, they don't belong there. Momihood is not an easy job. All I've got done tonight is supper, homework (not mine), and laundry. The dryer is still going and the washer is full still at 10:15 pm. Tomorrow Little man has a field trip and Wednesday is pix day. Busy week.

I am so thankful for how God has helped our little family. We actually sat down this evening in between my laundry and after homework and played several rounds of Connect 4. Little man loved that. Especially when he beat daddy. He loves his daddy. He was kind of sad on Sunday when he realized daddy had to go to Wilkesboro instead of to church with us. We'd have went with Shane but we were doing a special thing in Sunday School. Sis D makes it so much fun for the kids, but they retain it so well.

THis is Little Man's 8th day without his medicine to go to sleep. He has went to sleep around 8:30 or 9:00 every evening by himself. I am so glad.

Well, tomorrow is creeping on me ever so quickly. 6:15 comes awful early.

I have not been too good at keeping up my gilleon news. Times flies!!!!!!!!!! Never a dull moment around here.

Interesting evening

We had one interesting evening. I have kept the Munchkin last evening and we had a wonderful evening. Well, tonight I watched Munchkin and Child #2. It was wild. It was a whole new house for him and he pitched several fits until he either got his juice or then we ate supper. Faith was coming earlier so I put him in the bath. He loved the bath. I think he was very tired. He was rubbing them eyes and whiney. Whooooooo...... a mommy's job is not easy. Last night it was come home, feed the children, do some homework, play for 45 min-an hour, come in shower one, bath one, while one in bath read the other his 15 min book session. We lathered up in lotion and watched Free Willy quietly till Munchkin's ride came. Tonight was rather crazy. I have homework to do tonight or tomorrow. Shane won't be with me at church tomorrow. I don't feel like wrestling with Little Man tomorrow in church. Sunday was nerve racking. I may go over and help Faith with the children. I know she has her hands full. I will definetely be praying for her.

Well, I shall get off and get to bed. I wish tomorrow was the weekend again.

Have a good day ya'll.

Fun Depot

If you've never been to Fun Depot in Asheville, you need to go. The children from Sis. K's Sunday School went and had a ball. Little man went with us so we could chaperone. The children were so good. I walked around with one of the little girls. We all had fun.

We took our More @ 4 class to the Apple Orchard today. That was fun. We took a bagged lunch today and ate at the orchard. They all had a good time. We only had 10 go. It made it so much easier than taking a big crew. Dummy me forgot the camera. Even had the batteries charging last night. Oh well.

Little man had a tough time keeping quiet at church last evening. Then if I just touched him he said OUUUUUUch causing a big scene. Hoooooo, I was so aggravated. I had to take him out to have a pep talk, Shane had to take him out to have a pep talk, then I made his write sentences. I will be quiet, 15 times. That killed him of course. Man, his evening at church are rough. Not near as bad at home, but sitting that long is not his cup of tea.

Next weekend is the Yard Sale. That should be fun. We are gonna have it at a friend's house and do it together. I am excited. I don't have as much stuff than she does but I'm gonna gather my stuff this week. I got some stuff around last Saturday, but need to gather the rest. I need to get my fall stuff out to put out in the house. It's all packed away in a friend's basement. Hopefully in the next few weeks we will have a shed. That will be so nice to unload under the beds and stash in the building.

I am so anxious to get little man's room done. As soon as our foster papering goes through we are gonna rearrange his room and do the whole sport decorations. I think I am more excited than he. We are gonna sell his dresser and give him our old one. Shane's mom let us have her nice big one. It's so nice. I was glad.

Here is a couple pictures of the baptismal.

I thought I videoed it on my camera but I guess it didn't work, so no pictures of the ones that got baptized. Forgot the camera at Fun Depot too. Have to get some of Sis. K's pic's.

Well, I better get off and get back to my job. Have to go back till 5. Talk at ya later.

Busy Weekend

We had an extremely busy weekend. Wow, not home very much. Friday night Little Man had a friend over and they had a good time. I made homemade pizzas and they were very good. I was pretty proud of myself. Then Saturday, Shane got up and made biscuits and gravy. Both boys loved that, too. We ended up going to Hickory and back at the can can party. We had such an enjoyable relaxing time. Well, some were talking about going to the Mountain State Fair. Well, I decide that I would really like to go. Bless, Bro. and Sis. B for letting ride with them. We had a good time traveling to Asheville. Sis. B gave little man $ for rides. He had a blast. He enjoyed listening to AW's interesting stories. Sorry if he talked off all your ears and legs. Wow, he slept all the way home. Peace and quietness. I fell asleep too. Man was it cold in Asheville. Sis. B offered a coat, but I declined. Should of took her up on the offer. I froze. So, now were up to Sunday right. Lost track of all time. Sunday was quite busy too. Had baptismal today in the afternnoon. No sense to go home so we hung around Marion all day. Had the best birthday cake icecream at a place called Sandies I think. By the way, little man has a weekness for icecream. Doesn't like very many sweets at all , but offer icecream and he'll take you up on it. The bap-a-tis-a-mell as little man pronounces it was very nice. I'll post some pics tomorrow maybe of that. This evening The W's gave their testimonies to the whole church. It was very touching, and little man listened intently for the most part. I was very proud of him. We are 99.9% done with the licensing. I am so happy. So, my first thing is getting little man a boy's bedroom outfit. Shed the purple, which he doesn't mind, and go sportsy. He just loves his big bed, he don't care about the purple. I'm not sure what to do with all the purple stuff. May take most of it to my momma.

Speaking of my momma, I miss my family bad. I want to give my mom and dad a hug so bad. I wish we could make a surprise trip to Indy, but I don't forsee that happenin'. Time has a way of just spinnin' by.

Well, off to beddy by I go. 6 am comes awful early for the three of us.

Talk at ya'll later.

Rainy Friday

I am so very thankful for the rain, but it is no fun with little ones who love to be playing outside. I am so glad it is Friday. My hubby went to pick up another little boy to play with little man this evening and tomorrow. Little man has had a very good three weeks of school. Only 2 bad days and 1 half bad day. Better than what I imagined. His teacher called me today just to tell me that he had a wonderful day. I was overjoyed. She didn't have anything else much to say other than he is doing great. She told me not to be apologetic for his not good days. I plainly told her that I know a few of the kids in her class, and I knew that somedays she had probably weren't good. I feel for her. She does not have any children of her own yet. Wow!!

Life has been busy. With me trying to do schoolwork and helping little man every night with homework, bath, reading 15-20 min a night the night flies, and I am exhausted when I finally pillow my head at night. I long for Friday nights when I can rest and spend the evening with the "boys". And I say boys. My husband has fell to his little boy stages with little man around. It's cute most times. Sometimes, gets on my nerves.

Well, I hear boys. I shall get off and tend to making homemade pizzas. Fun fun..

Love,
Nikki

Testing the waters

Little man is testing the waters. He thought even though he did bad at school for his teacher today that he could have a great time at home. Wrong!!!! He didn't get to do anything fun at home. No playstation, no toys, no chewing gum, no snack. He thinks it's terrible, but he is not gonna get to do fun things when he's bad at school.

He's not had such a good night as of now. He won't go to sleep. Asking 50-11 questions. GRRRRR!!!

Anywhooo, I must go and chill out. I have been doing my homework and my mind may be a bit frazzled.

Fishing Fun

We took little man to the lake and went fishing Saturday evening. He had a good time. At one point he had moved, so I figured I better move my chair so I was out of his casting range. Just as I was moving into my spot, he decided to cast and wam. Yes, you figured it, he caught my hair. I just stood still and Shane came to the rescue. It wasn't really little man's fault. Just as he was casting, the wind decided to blow and blow his line back farther than intended. It was funny and that is now a big family laugh. He didn't catch any fish, Shane caught one, but he had a good time and he can cast real good. So, today on a holiday, when it's supposed to be family fun, he has made prior plans with a fella from church to take little man fishin' again. I didn't think that was quite so thoughtful of his wifey at home, but oh well. I can find bunches to do in a couple of hours while they will be gone. Little man wanted me to go, but I declined, but letting hubby know that I would be home cleaning. Hint hint. He then asked me to go. Stubborn me declined again.

Shane and little man, Shane had just caught a shirt. That was funny.

Little man sitting there patiently waiting for a fish to bite.

The sun was beautiful that night reflecting off the water. We took a ride around the whole lake.

Hectic Household

Our house is no longer filled with those quiet evenings. With an 8 year old little boy, it is very much alive. I was so excited today. He came home with an A+ on his spelling test. I patted myself on the back, and said, good job Mom then I said , Awesome Job, ... He was so proud. He got another star added to his chart for that new Game Boy Advance. He has to get ten. It might take a while, but we are sticking to the rules.

Tonight he went to his first football game. You talk about overexcitement, he had it. He was just a rushing to go. Had a blast. He has been the best little boy the last two days and so affectionate.

Well, I am getting very sleepy, so I am gonna get off here.

Till later,
Nik

Need no alarm clock

We now need no alarm clock. We have our own personal alarm clock in the form of an 8 yr. old little boy who stole our heart. We are so happy to have him in our home. He was very tired out from him night of playin with Munchkin and Mama Faith in the big town. Faith, are ya tired?!!

We started our first day out with little guy juggling him between the two. I had orientation at the college at 8 and Shane had to be to work at 9. We went shopping. We was ready to get back home and ride his "new" bike. He did suprisingly good without training wheels.

Well, I got a few things for his room and I need to put all his clothes and things away. He had more than I expected. That's awesome. He is excited.

Talk later.

Tiredless Tuesday

I am tiredless because I slept the whole night away last night. I came home @ approx. 4:10 and was in my bed to take a nap by 4:20. I set my alarm for 6, but turned it off and fell back asleep. Shane called at 7:30 which I thought was about 6:15. I fell back asleep and woke up at 9:30. He arrived home at 9:40. Bad wife, no supper and lazy. I went back asleep at 11:45 and slept the night away. I haven't felt the greatest the last couple of days. My stomach was wrenching with pain. No sicky, by throbbing. I don't know. I think my body fell apart at the age of 30. Seriously. I have been a healthy person and now it's one thing after another. I just didn't think it would hit this early.

We are in Revival this week, so I should get off here and get some supper plans and get a shirt ready to wear to church.

Till next time....

Just another Saturday!

Hey guys. Life has been so chaotic, I do not know whether I am coming or going. I went to the Blue Ridge Radilogy to have a mammogram and ultrasound. How humiliating!! I am so thankful though. They found one teeny tiny cyst that was nothing. Praise the Lord!! I was so scared. The devil worked overtime this last week since my physical a week ago Wednesday. Of course, I get to BRR and the xray machine was down. It was backed up majorly. I had to wait and wait and wait some more. I had plans, I had to go. my poor hubby was in the waiting room sick, had been all night. I left with a headache, caffeine headache I thought. Had caffeine as soon as I was done and didn't cut it, had migraine pill, no help. I finally ended up throwing up on the way to "bouncer's" doc appt. Wow! rough day.

I had CPR today. People have the silliest questions when we are all ready to go. My my my as my grandma would say. By the way, I miss my family. I can't wait to see all my extended family. It's been since Christmas.

I am so happy ya'll. I will be married 5 years to a wonderful man in just a few more days. I am so blessed to have a christian companion who is there every step of the way. I told him Wednesday that I would go to doc myself, knowing he was sick. He wouldn't think of it. He said he wouldn't have been anywhere else. Made me so good. Even though he was scared to death on the inside, and didn't show it.

Well, I am gonna get off here. Shane is at the Church work day while I am done with CPR. I guess I should get to work here at home, although my house is farely clean. Had my mother in law and brother in law and Nanny over for supper last evening. Hubby even helped clean up. Such a gem.

Talk to ya'll later.

Tuesday, July 31, 2007

My birthday was great.

Howdy!! Shane finished up with his training on Friday, so we decided to get away for the weekend for my birthday and a little R&R. We did do lots of that. We ended up staying in a cabin near Lake Lure. It was on someone's farm that they built this cabin. On the website it was said to have had a pond. Well, the pond dried up last year. We brought fishin' poles and everything. It rained anyway. We ended up going to Rutherfordton to eat Friday eve, went too far back trying to get to the cabin again, and ended up near Marion. Wow!! We did enjoy ourselves. Went looking around Lake Lure and stopped in all the shops in the next town up. We met Shane's brother in Rutherfordton on Saturday to eat. Went to Asheville Sunday and got's lots of good deals for the bouncer who will more than likely be with us by the end of August. I am excited, but nervous. I've never done this mommy stuff. It will be a whole new ballgame for Shane and I. Working with 2 year olds is a whole different story. Well, here is a pic of the cabin. It was very pretty.

Well, I am biding time before Shane gets home. We need to run to Walmart and get a fire extinguisher. I would have got one today, but didn't know what size and all. Then, I went to Walmart to get some pictures made. The machine that took jump drives was downloading a new program. The machine I wanted didn't take jump drives. Everything but those. Wasted trip! Oh well.

The fire inspector comes tomorrow, then we have to have our physicals tomorrow. I am not looking forward to it. I am switching to Shane's doc in all this process, and the nurse practioner wants to take blood, and the WHOLE physical, if ya know what I mean. I am not wanting to do it, but I guess it must be done.
Two more days left of this semester. Yeeeehhh! I am so ready for a couple weeks off before I start up again.

Well, I shall go. Shane is on his way. Finished his last test.

Thursday, July 19, 2007

So very sorry!

I guess we are living up to our blog name. Gilleons on the Go is just what it has been. We now have a peaceful home after 2 wks of hosting family. It was fun, but I was very tired. When you are just used to the 2 of us, and bringing in 3 or 5 more. Wow!!

We had a very enjoyable time @ Pigeon Forge with my family. My brother is now remarried. let's see if I can figure out how to put another pix in here of them. It was a very pretty chapel. My ma worked very hard on the food in our dainty chalet.

We are about to finish up our foster paperwork. YehhhH!! That has been a challenge in itself. With college, this foster pw, Shane's class @ college. Wowww! Our house has been very quiet lately with Shane at the computer and me at the kitchen table writing away. All you can hear is the clicking of the computer keys. Shane's friend Big Bill come over and wondered if he had the right house, haa. At one pt you could hear a pin drop. Not for too much longer. I am excited about this adventure we are about to take, but nervous all in the same breath. With God's help, we'll do good. Bible school was about faith, and I learned right along with the children.

I have just scheduled my next semester. Crazy me is taking 2. I hope I didn't make a mistake. We'll find out soon enough.

For now I better go and get to work.

Crazy week!

Life this week has been very very crazy. This is my 6 week, plus coming home and going straight to VBS. VBS has been going great 4 for the most part. The children have had a very enjoyable time learning the different characters from the Bible and the faith they all had. We had some rain yesterday, but not enough to slow the "play time down". We just did that part in the parking lot instead of the grass.

I am very pleased with bouncer this week. He has been 80% good in the evenings and that's good 4 him.

My mom's sore has reopened. It is very small, but yesterday was a BAD day for her. She cried both times I talked to her. She has prayed that they would be healed before her trip down here, and they had, now one has reopened. I pray it will heal back over before Monday. I know it can happen. God is capable of doing anything he wants.

I totally forgot to call my dad on his birthday Tuesday. So I did that yesterday with I'm sorry in my vocab every other phrase. Tuesday was about the craziest day of my life. I think.
Then I called my Grandma Mikel. Yesterday was her and Grandpa's 62nd anniversary. Wow, it encourages me to be a better wife. Make this marriage the best and it can last years and years.

Well, on that note I am so glad tomorrow is Friday. I think I would cry if I had one more day to work this week.

Love ya'll

Sleepless Saturday

I really thought I was gonna do some sleeping in this morning. Shane left for Tastee Freez and I couldn't sleep. So, why not get up and clean and get it over with. I got up, washed bed sheets, put others on, so I could have the pretty ones for ma and pa. They'll be here in one week. Yeeeeehhhh!! I am so excited. For one, mom is gonna help me put up a couple of my new home interior items that I got from my party. For two, they'll be here more than a week. For three, my brother Nate has never been to North Cacilacy. I am excited to show him and his family around.

Anyway, I got up and cleaned to my heart's content. Put up some glass stuff so "bouncer" can't break them. He is such a curious child. I guess because he has never had nice things. Such a rough childhood for such a little boy. I hope his life will make a definite change and maybe someday he'll receive Jesus. That would be an awesome experience. I doubt he even knows who Jesus is.

We need to purchase a booster seat, among a bunch of other stuff. Kids will make a definite change in your life. Wooooow!

Enough rambling. I can't keep on one subject. I went to town and made a trash run, and Salvation Army run. It's amazing the "Junk" 2 people can accumulate.

Well, laundry needs more attention, so off I go.
Have a wonderful Saturday.

Tomorrow is Friday, Yeah!

I am so glad tomorrow is Friday. For one, no school. Those tests today were enough to kill a girl. Preschool is quite interesting these days. With the More @ 4 teachers gone, we are slim pickin'. Especially with only one 4 year old teacher. Hmm.. this next week will be quite interesting.

Who said 4th of July? Did I hear that? I cannot wait. I haven't seen my parents for a few months now. I miss them terribly. I am so excited to see my brothers again and of course the kids. I miss them. I bet Jess, Tiff, and Chad have grown by leaps and bounds.

I heard today that Bouncer may be with us the week of the 4th. I was hoping my parents could meet him when they come. It should be quite interesting.

Here is my family a year. This day, this year my brother and Tracy will be a married couple.

Well, I have laundry to hang up and some subs to get ready for when Shane gets home from school. I shall talk at ya later.

Terrific Tuesday!

I'm not sure I would call it terrific or not, but it was a decent day. Bouncer's first day of summer camp today. His morning didn't start out so good, but eventually got better. We need to work out a few issues, but it'll come in time.

I think pop in the oven lasagna is it for tonight. I have final things to do for my big project at school. Fun, fun!!

My washer tore up last evening. I definetely believe the Lord made it work. I called my daddy in Indiana to see if he could give some pointers. He tried to help. His first phrase was"How my girl tonight?" Uh- not so good. I worked and worked, got wet, worked, got wetter, madder, and had to stop. Called Shane who was on his way home from training in Shelby, hot and ill. Didn't go over so good. But, by the time he got home, washer was working after I tried one more time. Thank the Lord. Shoooooooooooooo- crazy thing.

Gotta go finish that never ending laundry, and preheat that oven.

It's Monday again!

I am still trying to tackle this crazy cold. I think it's turned into sinuitis. I haven't went to the doctor, but Shane's nanny gave me some amox to try to help. Thank the Lord, it has helped. This crazy reading course is actually going pretty good. Lots of work in the summer, but we'll manage

This foster care paperwork is alot. Shane and I have done nothing but read, and write and read and write, and read and write, do I need to go further.

Speaking of Shane, he's at training today. He won't be home till late. I think this is chill night. I don't think I am going to do too much.

This cold!!

I am tired of this cold. It seems to be lingering on and on. I volunteered involunterily to work the 6 shift this week. I am now feeling the effects. Ugh!!! School has been a bear. Although I've done good in this course so far, I dread every minute of it. Not much going on in my life besides sleep, work, and sleep. Eating isn't even included in there. I haven't felt like eating much, besides the fact that i can't taste anything. I am sitting here waiting for my hubby to get out of school. Trying to be that better wife, that Sis. Clark talked about.

For now...

Mother's Day

Yesterday, Mother's Day wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I guess due to Shane's prayers. He had prayed Saturday evening, unbeknowst to me that I would have a good day. I cooked dinner for my mother in law and Nanny. It was a good day. I cried over Munchkin giving her mommy a carnation. I missed my mom Sunday. I'll see her over the 4th if July. Yeh!!
