Candy!

The boys have so much candy it is not even funny. ET's biological mom (BM) gave him a grocery bag full, then Torry brought a huge bag home from school, and I brought a little home from the preschool and we had tons from our church fall festival. Oh my! I heard ET get up this morning very quietly. I woke up and here he was coming in my room asking for some skittles. I'm glad he asked. The answer was of course "No, not right now". Mind you this was at 7:00. Much earlier than I intended waking up this morning.

Shane had to work this morning, so I got the boys up and motivated to get ready for this Sunday. We actually made it to church on time, ironed and looking pretty good I might add. The boys got haircuts yesterday and love the front spiked. Torry's stays much longer than ET. He likes to woller to much. I guess he is only just 5.

I am still battling this bronchitis. It has turned into more of a cold now. My poor little nose is sore from blowing. My husband has endured the coughing. I have coughed till I can't cough no more it seems. We have choir practice at 4 today. I am not sure how good I'll sound, but I am gonna try. I may have to stop and cough up a lung or 2.

ET's bm gave him 25 dollars. I was glad. We used it to get him some long sleeve shirts. He didn't need toys, so we put it to good use. Shane's mom gave us coupons for Belk's (which I don't frequent often at all). We got him for shirts for about $9 a shirt. I thought that was pretty good considering you can't hardly buy a long sleeve shirt at walmart for $9.

Torry has been begging Shane and I to let him have a McRib sandwich. So, I gave in today and took the boys to McDonald's. Torry loved it. He has been eating tons. I don't know where he puts it because he isn't gaining any weight. May have gotten a tad taller, but not much.

I am so thankful for the boys. Yesterday we heard sad news of one of Torry's classmates accidentally hanging himself with a rope. He was 9 just like Torry. You just can't watch your kids enough. Accidents happen so fast. The boys mama looked out to see him hanging there. I could not imagine what she is feeling. Pray for the family. Shane works with the boy's mama. I just took Torry in my arms today and cried. I love him! Even through the hard times. That little boy was on our basketball team last year and he loved Shane. So so sad!!

I am sitting here looking at these slinky jr.'s that we had to order off line. We couldn't find them anywhere. We found original slinky's at Walmart, but not the jr.'s. Torry has a science project due comparing a slinky and jr. slinky. Ought to be quite interesting.

Well, I am gonna get off here for now and take a snooze in the recliner. The boys are riding bikes with the neighbor children. They are such good friends. Just so happen they go to Salem, too. We do not live in the Salem district, but my boys can go there because of where Shane and I work. The neighbor's grandma is a teacher there. It's ironic!

We have to hide the sweets from Carter .
Michael had to work ( again ) this weekend . It was nice having an extra hour last night with the time change . I really hate this getting dark early stuff .
I love the boys haircuts ! Their outfits were so cute today .
I hope you have a great week . My parents are coming to visit tomorrow for a really quick trip . Carter doen't know it YET ! He will be suprised at the airport !

My boys love the idea of getting treat bags, what they don't like is the moderation that comes with it. Garrett was asking for chocolate night before last at around 9:00pm. As IF we would have given him candy at bedtime.....bless his heart.

Your boys did look adorable yesterday, I think their new haircuts suit them.

As for the time change, I despise it getting dark so early! I mean it's dark before dinner's over for PETE'S SAKE!!!! But that's okay, we'll adjust...

Love ya, GIRl!
