Bronchitis

I can say that I do not like bronchitis at all. I feel like I am coughing my brains out, and don't say "what brains?". I do have some up there. Anyway, this sickness come on me when I got up Saturday morning. I had to go clean the church and I just didn't feel right. Well, the closer I got to church the worse I felt. I began cleaning and I must have stopped a half a dozen times to sit. Anyway, I got worse and worse and didn't know if I would make it home. I did, thank the Lord. Wow! and let the fun begin. I did not see the light of day until Monday morning, when I went to see Doc. Doc says I have a sinus infection and bronchitis. Fun fun. I stayed home yesterday and today. In between coughing spells I have gotten a few things done. I cleaned my base board and oh my. I looked at the hallway wall. Wow! I decided I better do a little swiping on that too.

My hubby will be shocked to know that I did not go back to sleep after he took the boys to school and on to work. His last comment was "Happy Sleeping!" Not that I didn't try, but I couldn't sleep. He doesn't know how one person can sleep so much. I literally slept all day Saturday and almost all day Sunday. He could not do that. I guess when your bodies immune system is down, you're down.

Oh, I was so excited. I now have a bloom on my peace lily. Maybe that is a sign. I just told Shane the other day that I was about ready to get rid of this big piece of greenery in my dining room because it hasn't bloomed in so long. I mean a year or longer. I received the lily at Rodney's funeral (Kathy's late husband), and it was beautiful. Bloomed so pretty. Well, it got sickly cause I am not a green thumb. I forgot to water the poor thing. Well, yesterday I say a little white lilly popping up. Yehhh~

As for a bunch of random thoughts all in to one blog, I decided it was time for me, the sister, to take the first step and give my brothers a call. Ya know, we don't talk much because our lives are so much on a different page. My older brother Nate is remarried and lives a rather "wild" life. Kurt, on the other hand, has left the nest of mom and dad and ventured out and is really "sowing his oats" if ya know what I mean. So, the christian family that Shane and I are trying our best to raise does not quite mix. But I realized that they are my family and how I am going to win them to the Lord if I don't show them a bit more love and concern. They have to know I care, huh?!!

I was up reading a few exerpts (how in the world do you spell that word.) Spelling is my expertise, but anywho(as Faith would say), I read a few stories in my "Chicken Soup for the Soul" this morning. I read one on how hugging was just an all around healthy thing to do. It lifts you up, and people really ought to do it more. If you know me, I'm just not the hugging type. Now my husband and children Yes, but others I just don't know. I think I'll be more open to a hug from now on. Some people think it's the northern in me. I don't know. Maybe I'll participate more in the "hugging" services. I guess it'll let people know that I really do care.

Well, I think I'll go sit in the recliner a minute before I start on today's list. My stomach muscles and chest hurt so bad from coughing.

I didn't realize you had bronchitis....I hope you feel better very soon!

I remember the worst coughing spells I ever had was when I was pregnant with Levi. It was HORRIBLE! I coughed nonstop. The meds the docs gave me didn't help AT ALL! Finally they sent me for xrays thinking I had something seriously wrong with me. The amazing thing is that as soon as Levi was delivered, the coughing stopped. Immediately. How strange is that?

Praying your cough goes away soon and that you will be fit-as-a-fiddle again in the very near future!!!
