Life in the fast lane still

Wow we have finished supper, homework, reading, bedtime snack, pj time before 8:00. The boys have been very good. For those of you who don't know we now have a little boy who is almost 5 in our home(ET phone home). ET is somewhat of a challenge. Doesn't feel he has to listen the first, second or third time. Maybe not even the 8th or 9th time. Wow!! God must know what I can deal with, because at times I don't think I can go another mile. We had a ten month old little boy in our home for almost 2 months. He stole all of our hearts fast, but he went to live with another couple that was getting their license to get him. It was the hardest thing besides moving from IN to NC that I have ever done. Wow. We saw him at the Morganton Festival Friday night. That was a killer for me. Saturday I just wanted to lay in my bed all day. My hubby advised me that it was best for us just to keep on truckin'. If we sat at home and dwelled on it, the devil had more room to slip in.

I had the boys by myself at church yesterday from 4:30 on. They were very good. ET had a slight incident, but for the most part I was impressed.

I have them on Monday eves while hubby at work. It sometimes is tough, but tonight, thank the Lord, they have been wonderful.

I am so excited for my parents to come down at the first of the month. That means I need to get to doing some nitty gritty cleaning.

We finally put all the baby stuff in the shed, and I dispursed the borrowed items to their proper places. Thank the Lord for the church family that helped out when we had nothing. We found a nice high chair at a yard sale, and I got several big toys at a yard sale for little tikes. They are all put away now for future use, maybe.

Ya know, mothering is the hardest thing I have ever done. Any advice, I'm all ears. Patience is the key, and that gets a little thin when I have to repeat and repeat. GRRRR!!! Lord love 'em!!

Well, my hubby is almost home and I need to get the boys simmering down before BED. Thankfully they don't fight sleep.

I agree that parenting is the most difficult thing I have ever done. It is very rewarding, though.

We have been praying for you guys!

Well, I can't say parenting has been my biggest challenge in life, but fostering sure seems to be one of the top two!
We love you!
